Small Moves
Vehicle Size

For small moves, we use a 3/4 ton van that is 5’x5’x9′ with about 4’x4′ back doors.

This is good for queen size beds as long as they are not too thick.

This is the best way to move smaller items and loads.

$50/hr for vehicle + mover
$30/hr per Extra Mover

There is a gas/travel fee that depends on where we start and where we finish.

Mid-Size Moves

For moves up to a standard two bedrooms condo we use a cube van that is about 16’x7’x7′.

$70/hr for vehicle + mover
$30/hr per Extra Mover

Big Moves
Vehicle Size

For moves equivalent to a standard three-bedroom condo or more we use a 20′-24′ cube van that will be about 7.5′ wide and 7.5′ high.

$100/hr for vehicle + mover
$30/hr per Extra Mover

There is a 5% GST charge as well. 

We provide a small amount of shrink wrap and a roll-off tape at no charge for every move. If there is going to be a lot of shrink wrap we will charge you for your own roll.  If you need extra moving supplies, we will provide and bill you for the supplies you need.

Breaks will not be charged. The driver will estimate the downtime needed for breaks and eating and take that time off when the bill is tallied at the end of the day.

Office moves are much the same as residential moves.  We need to have a rough idea of how much your staff will be helping and how much you would like the movers to do in terms of packing and preparation.  Once we have a fair idea of what is involved then we will know when the elevators and loading zones must be booked and for how long.

Offices moves may require specific tools to break down desks or equipment.  It is important to let us know what pieces may be difficult to move and what may be needed.  Items that are expensive and possibly delicate should be noted so that we may pad them properly before we make the move.  If we know what we are dealing with we will know what special boxes and wrap should be ordered with the move.

We can do as much set up at your new location as you would like.  Like residential moves, it is important to let us know if using floor runners or removing shoes is needed for the job.  If our totes are used, then they will be emptied and all packing material and garbage will be cleared from the site.

Pricing will vary quite a bit depending on what needs to be done for a long-distance move.  There needs to be a gas/travel/kilometer’s fee for getting to and from the final drop-off site.  There is a straight-time hourly fee for movers and vehicle.  There are also possibly hotel and ferry fees.  Rates need to be worked out on a case-by-case basis depending on what is involved.

Sample pricing of a full one-bedroom apartment going from Vancouver to Victoria.  This would typically need two movers and a 16-foot cube van.  

Two Ferry Fee’s: $260  

Gas/Travel fee to get there and back: $380

Ten hours straight time fee from arrival to finish at $100/hr:  $1000

Total cost of $1640 plus 5% GST.

That same job going to Kelowna may be:

One night hotel fee: $100

Gas/Travel fee to get there and back: $800

Ten hours straight time fee from arrival to finish at $100/hr:  $1000

Total cost of $1900 plus 5% GST.

Not every move-out may coincide with a move-in.  If there is a short wait, we can lock the customer’s items in the back of the moving vehicle. For longer delays, a storage locker should be used. Some storage companies offer the first month free services in hopes that their customers will become long-term. These promotions have good value to those people who have under a month to wait before their move-in date.

Packing Service

We can make the move easier by coming to your home to help pack a day or two ahead of the move date.  Just give us an idea of what kind of packing material you would like us to bring.  Material prices are listed below.  We can pack the day of the move as well but be sure to allow extra time to allow for safe packing.

Expensive items and valuables should always be dealt with by the homeowner themselves.

We also offer free use of 100 litter plastic totes that make moving easier and safer than cardboard boxes.  This is a good option for items that can be unpacked on the day of the move-in.  Just let us know how many you would like us to bring.

Packing services are $40/hr plus a gas/travel fee for each packer.

Here is a sample list of packing supplies.  All vehicles come with blankets, 5-7 100 litre plastic totes, shrink wrap, tape and mattress bags.  If you need more than the standard vehicle material, then please let us know what extra’s to bring.
